Spring in Texas

Happy Spring Ya'll! I hope everyone is enjoying some nice Spring weather! Here in Texas the weather has been unseasonably warm, until yesterday. We went from temperatures in the 80's to waking up to about 40 degrees. I know, some of you would say that's not cold, but to me anything below 70 is cold. LOL!

I thought I would share a few pictures of our Bluebonnets this year. We planted these about 8 years ago after visiting Fredericksburg, TX. The wildflowers down there are just breathtaking! The Bluebonnets growing on the rolling hills in the Hill Country look like flowing rivers. After seeing that, I wanted to bring a little bit of that home with me. We planted a pretty good size patch on the north side of our front yard that goes beside our driveway. Every year they have spread, and this year I think is the biggest Bluebonnet patch we have ever had!

I also want to remind you all of the Make Mine Pink Friday Shopping Event. This month's theme is, "A Touch of French". I am really excited about this theme! Shabby Shan's Cottage will have lots of new items to list for this theme. Be sure to visit each Friday in April for new treasures with a French flare!

Until next time...
Shannon
