Green Jeans

Hi Everyone! I have been MIA for awhile, but I thought it was about time we caught up. I have been really busy this spring! First we had a gigantic garage sale back in May. I think we worked on getting ready for that for nearly a month. Whew...that wore me out! I am so glad to have that over with and to have been able to get rid of some of the junk that I had collected over the last couple of years. I now have some much needed extra space in my house! I really enjoy dragging stuff home from garage sales and flea markets but sometimes you get home and you think....what did I buy that for? Have you ever done that? :)

After our garage sale I had an old pair of jeans that didn't sell, and we were thinking,...now what could we do with these? Well, between my Mom and me we came up with a few ideas. First, I don't like to carry a purse, so I have a really hard time carry my cell phone. So, my Mom made this really cute cell phone pouch out of one of the back pockets.

Didn't it turn out cute! She made Velcro straps on the back to hook to my crutches. Now I can always have my cell phone with me and not have to carry a purse.

Next, I have been wanting a craft apron for some time now. So, with the rest of the jeans she made me an apron.

I really love how this turned out! So cute and feminine, and of course pink! Now I can carry my phone, my scissors, glue and glitter...whatever I can stick in the pockets, and still be able to walk on my crutches. What a great way to recycle and be green! Don't I have a good Mom? She is so crafty!

I also wanted to remind ya'll of all the fun things going on over at Make Mine Pink this Summer. This weeks MMP Friday Shopping Event theme is, "Shades of Red, White and Blue". There will be all sorts of goodies just in time for the 4th of July! This Saturday from 6pm - 12am Est. will be our Pink Twilight Sale. I love the Pink Twilight Sales because there are always lots of bargains to be found! Then, from July 16th - July 20th will be our annual MMP Christmas in July Shop Hop. There will be lots of great prizes to win! It's easy and fun to play, and best of all, no purchase necessary! So don't miss out on all of the fun over at MMP.

Well, I hope you all are enjoying your Summer so far. Be safe, have fun, and try to stay cool!

Until next time...
Shannon

Shannon ~ That cell phone pouch and apron are the cutest I've ever seen. Your mom is on to something! I especially love the pink ball fringe.

I've missed your posts and am glad that you back.

I know exactly what you mean about dragging something home and then wondering "why". :)

Shannon,

What a great use old jeans! Those are both just adorable. I've got to make me one of those cell phone holders!

And I know what you mean about dragging stuff home. My son says they are going to put on my headstone, "What was I thinking!"

Those are just both adorable Shannon! Can I borrow your mom?! :) I've made purses using the pockets, but that little apron is adorable! I have a ton of jeans that I need something to do with. Maybe!? I have the pillows I got from you all on my new antique daybed I got from Posh on Palm. When I ever get some time I will be posting about them. Sorry to read your on crutches. Hope your doing better soon.
